I'm a little confused by thier fees...It states .15 cents a card for standard.I have 200 cards i want to send them, but i'm wondering do they charge a shipping fee on top of the .15 per card? I see it saids a .25 for each card.I just to make sure i'm reading it right.

You are asking about sending cards to them to add to your portfolio, correct?

OK, there is a fee per card based on which level of service you choose...

Standard: $0.15 - up to 8 weeks to be added to the site
Priority: $0.25 - up to 3 weeks to be added to the site
Express: $0.50 - added to the site within 1 week

There is also a $3.00 per batch fee. If you send in 200 cards with some in each of the service levels then you will have $9.00 in batch fees plus the amount per card. If you send in 200 cards all at the same service level then your batch fee will be $3.00 total. The maximum batch size is 500 cards so if you send in 600 cards all for the same service level then you will be charged $6.00 for batch fees.

There is a 5¢ per card fee for cards shipped to us in toploaders or other hard cases. There is no fee for penny sleeves.

I hope that covers everything for you.

I have questions about this too....so total fee for 200 cards would be $33.00 correct??? Is there any sort of fee after the card sells etc???

Also, I would assume we can set the prices once the cards are uploaded, or do we have to send all that information in with the cards...

Thanks

TK, It would be $33 for Standard processing, correct. There are currently no fees when the item sells, but if you choose to "cash out" your store credit then you will be hit with a 20% fee. What I usually do is buy cards I want and then have them shipped to me.

You set the prices for the cards after they have been added to your account on the site. You can send in a note with the cards to have them all set to a certain percentage of the book value if you so desire. The COMC staff will then set the prices at that percentage of the book value for you.

Or you can go 10% for Blowout Gift certificates or something like that right??? Problem for me is I am looking at just blowing out some low end inserts etc, and put them like 70-80% off of BV....I dont find too much on COMC that I can use especially at the prices a lot of people ask, regardless of the best offer option.

I would be more inclined to take the money and roll it into boxes from blowoutcards...

You can roll the money into Blowout Gift Certs too. You take anywhere from a 13% up to a bit over 16% hit on those (depending on which size of a GC you go with). I have found COMC to be the best place around to move inserts, parallels, etc. I have added over 6000 items to their site and could not imagine having to scan them all on my own, lol.

Does anyone else have any experience using this site to sell? I have a ton of common stuff from 02-04 that I want to get rid of, but I'm not sure if it's going to be worth it with the fees they charge to send, process, etc.

It isn't real great for commons since you are looking at a min of .15 in fees per card. For inserts and parallels it is great. I always look at what is on the site before I send anything in. It gives you an idea of what sells. If there is a ton of something it probably isn't moving.
