There were about a dozen of these when I got mine the other day. Might stop after work tomorrow and see if any are still there.

Should have kicked in another $5 and bought a $20 scratch ticket. Nothing worth mentioning in my box. Some virtual ring crap from the codes.

Did anyone look at the book thingy that came with it? half of it is every team's 2011 schedule, which was nice, but the other half was a little bit of Topps 60 years history.

My question is about the 60 cards Topps chose to include in that little book. Did anyone notice who was conspicuously absent? I'll give you a hint: he's one of the best players ever, but wears a size 8 1/2 hat, so people hate him.I thought it was a little telling that MLB and/or Topps are distancing themselves from this gentleman after making millions of dollars off of people looking for his autographs and jersey pieces.

Also, I just busted 5 of those boxes, got 13 code cards and a stamp from Heritage, so I didn't do as well as others, but wasn't gutted either.

But a $20 scratch off wouldn't have guaranteed you $10 back. Every one I opened had atleast 3 diamond giveaway cards in them which is worth around $3-$4 per on the bay. Just the shot at those heritage packs was worth it to me. They are completely random and there have been some monster pulls out of them from just the few board members who have posted here. I will buy more if I can find them, but every place I check now is sold out.

I tried selling codes on Ebay before and the buyer demanded I send them the card instead of just letting me email them the code. For the cost of shipping, mailer and whatnot, wouldnt be worth it to me.

Most interested buyers should be willing to let you e-mail the code. I noticed some sellers explain within the auction description that the codes will be e-mailed.

Another canary diamond from these boxes:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=129403&p=1783598#p1783598

And that's just here. I imagine more canaries are being hit on other forums. The odds on these have to be better than your standard retail packs.

Especially given not only the canaries but also the extra relics and autographs.

I know I am hyping these things big time, but when you're a mainly retail guy - these are huge.

Yeah, I know some people aren't making all of their money back.. but anytime you can walk into a store like WalMart and pay $15 per box and (unless you use them) be able to recoup over 50% with the BONUS CODE CARDS -- that's damn good. Spending $15 on these and being guaranteed $8+ is WAY better than buying a 2011 Topps/Heritage blaster. Hell, even buying a HOBBY box of heritage usually nets you around $20 - $25, and that's if you go through the hassle of splitting it up and auctioning it separately.

I've seen far worse gambles taken by people on these boards.

WHAT IS WITH THE INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH GLUE THEY ARE USING BETWEEN THE REFRACTOR PACK AND THE MAIN PACKS??? UNNECESSARY!!! Almost to the point you pull so hard your afraid the wrapping is going to hurt the card before the glue gives...

They decided to melt down all the leftover stale crunchy gum they had at the factory to create the glue...they taste the same.

I opened 5 yesterday. Did ok, one Hanley diamond and a few of those sparkles one of Stras. Heritage had a chrome
and a GU and one Jackie, 10 packs of heritage equal to a box and a half of hobby at the shop.

Are these redemptions really selling? Seems like there are a lot more out there now and people would have a hard
time selling. Do you have to go to ebay or are they selling here?

They are selling fairly well on eBay - around $3 a card on average I would guess.

But, who knows, you might find someone here who would buy.
