I did 5 today, hit 16 diamond giveaways. Nothing huge, but fun break.

Averaging 3 codes +1 extra is pretty nice.

KJ: Did you get any pre-70s from the codes?

I have 8 sitting here that I havent redeemed yet. I dont know how much a virtual ring is worth but Im guessing less than a real one.

You also unlock a card per code. It's all in the gamble. Lol

Out of 8 codes, am I likely to get anything worth more than $1?

about $30-$35 on ebay![/quote:39xfkiad]

I know but I mean if I redeem them?

nvm, redeemed them.

Must be a TON of these being opened. I've been monitoring the quantity of Diamond Giveaway cards and in the past few days the average population of 42ish has jumped by twenty to around 62 per normal (non-black diamond). The number of Black Diamond cards hasn't changed in weeks... not sure whats up with that.

It seems that these cards are released in a pattern. You'll see that the population of nearly every Diamond Giveaway card is within one of every other Diamond Giveaway card.

I just traded my Mantle for a Ruth.

Neither the Target or Wal Mart I went to today had these. :(

But I did find 2 blasters of 2010 BC DRAFT. Will snag those next time I go. ;)

I was going to sell all my codes but I ended up redeeming them. I think I put in around 60 codes. Ended up hitting a 52, 54 and 4 of the regular diamond die-cut cards, Strasburg, Lester, Butler and Pence. I also got enough of the rings to get the 60th Anniversary set and an instant win that says 70's or 80's packs.

60 codes turning up two early 50's and 4 die cuts is a pretty good ratio of hits. Congrats!

I bought one more box tonight, which will be my last. $60 on these things already.

I didn't hit anything super, but did get:

2011 Heritage #480 Aubrey Huff SP
2011 Heritage #135 Jackie Robinson SP

2011 Topps #282 Buster Posey Diamond Anniversary
Regular batch of inserts
1 extra Diamond Giveaway

The Diamond Giveaway site froze on me, but I did get two cards in. The first was a Pete Rose '80s Topps (didn't catch the details) and this:

1975 Topps #500 Nolan Ryan BV $50

I still have one more code to enter when the site starts working again (and 3 digs).

I opened 3 of these, nothing special other than a couple chromes and sp's out of the Heritage. Nothing out of the Topps packs, pulled a couple extra Diamond codes but redeemed the usual random commons. Might pick up a few more tomorrow.

Are these the 72 card boxes that are smaller than the blasters? Thanks

No. These are the boxes with 2 packs of hobby heritage and 5 packs of retail topps.

My local WalMarts totally restocked today. Each one had around 8 - untouched. I'm fairly sure I am the only one buying these. If they are there later this week, I'll probably pick a few up.

I don't think my Wal mart has them they are in the process of a remodel but they are usually up to date on card, they even have Bowman Chrome boxes sometimes but they used to be slow until I started buying the hell out of cards there.

I bought one at Target last night because of this thread and pulled nothing of note other than the 3 diamond giveaway cards.

Every walmart I have visited had 10 of them, almost all of them still had 10. After opening these and posting
on various message boards that I had diamond code cards for sale, I sold them within an hour....crazy!

So far the best deal in 2011 for retail.

I picked up another one of these tonight. Didn't have anything of note, but it did have 4 diamond giveaway codes. I have opened 4 of these so far and haven't pulled anyting other than 15 diamond codes.

My local WM has at least 15 left and they have had them for a week. I'm not sure if I will try my luck with anymore.

I got 2 of these tonight. Got 7 diamond code cards, bu nothing else of note other than a Chris Sale topps gold RC logo /2011 and a few of the diamond parallels. Didn't look through the heritage for sp's. Now just trying to sell the codes to get most of my money back.
