Four Days Till The Show!

I only have a 360. Thankfully, 2K10 is looking pretty good, but I'm getting the demo and reading every user review I can find before I even THINK about buying it. I've seriously thought about buying a PS3 just for The Show, but convinced myself that spending $300+ for one game (I dont play anything other than sports games, which I generally prefer on the 360 anyway) would be absurd.

If 2K10 ends up sucking, I'll just keep plugging away at Power Pros 2008. Now THAT is a fun game!

jswaykos - I used to play the 2k baseball games since all I had was a 360. I got fed up with it and was so envious of The Show's reviews that last year I bought a PS3 specifically to play it. It was worth every penny! The Show is the best baseball game ever created, and I've literally played them all since RBI Baseball for Nintendo. So, IMHO, it's well worth it. Plus, you get a great blu-ray player and there are some other great PS3 exclusives.

Not your typical baseball game but it is fairly fun and easy to get into.

I have an Xbox 360....so no Show for me. It does look good though.

Overall I find it harder to stick with a baseball game than an NFL game.

mlb 2k10 demo is on xbox live marketplace. It blows last years out of the water, but from what I understand the show is better. But I am not going to spend several hundred dollars for a blueray player that plays one game.

I love the Show, hate that it's only available on PS3 as well. So i went out and got 2k8 for the 360 and it was TERRIBLE. Really considering getting a PS3 just for the show.

I did and it was completely worth it. For those out there trying to justify the costs, just get the damn thing and enjoy yourself. I get a lot more out of the $300 spent on a PS3 than $300 spent on a piece of cardboard with a piece of jersey patch or auto on it.

BTW - The PS3 plays more than just one game!

I bought a PS3 for the Show and Metal Gear Solid 4. Both were well worth it. Having a BD player is also very nice. I do wish it was available on 360 so I could play with friends/get achievements etc.

how cheap are we talking?

i have both an xbox 360 and a PS3 and rarely play either of them. i do use the blue ray player quite a bit though.

I get that it plays more than one game, but I already play Madden, NCAA, Tiger Woods, FIFA, etc on the 360. No sense in selling them off for just one game. Besides, I hardly have time for it these days anyway with a two month old son!

I'm telling you, give Power Pros a shot! Granted, the last one they put out was 2008, but it's crazy addicting and surprisingly deep.

Count me as one of those that sold their 360 and bought a PS3 only b/c of the show. Now that netflix has instant view on the PSN I have zero regrets.
