Love this deal. Not bad for a guy who was just signed to a minor league deal a couple months ago. That K-Rod signing couldn't have worked out better for the Brewers. O's fans does he project to stay at 3B? At a glance he doesn't look like a very good defender.
Seems to me he's versatile...not GREAT anywhere, but rock solid just about everywhere.
He played mostly 2nd last year (he would be an offensive monster of a 2nd baseman) but 3rd seems like a better fit for his size. If he moves to first, his bat no longer will look quite as impressive.
I've followed him this year because I have a few cards. He was looking pretty solid until the last week or two when he hit a slump and his average has dropped almost 40 points. Maybe a change of scenery will be exactly what he needs to get back into the .280 range.
