Hey, I saw that the other week and emailed the guy and asked for a scan. It took a few days but I finally got one and it is the regular version. I explained the difference to him and provided pictures but he never responded back to me.

Magic has another copy but it's his last; I'm still searching. Thanks for the help though.

And yet, he still has it listed as such and price is the same I'm sure.
Typical.

I think I traded a few of those to you.....right? I did put a bid in on that Topps promo as I have never seen that before. Very strange that it has the pic from the stadium club card.

I'm officially a member of the purple level. I didn't know it would be this way, but wow...these look even better than the greens.

Congrats Ross. The purple looks better than the red & green IMO.

ctmike - Glad it worked out. Nice card, but you caught me at this juncture:

emptypockets.jpg

Bull - Sweet Crusade Goodness. <g>

Cobra - Not actually having seen a Red, I think you're one hundred-percent correct. With this particularly refractor-ish technology the purple 'pops'.

But I understand why Pinnacle's design team went with the color assignments - circa High Middle Age English royal court. Although I suppose technically there could be some debate as to which should've been more "rare" - since purple was associated with the highest ranks, red less so - but was primary in its use as the Coats field. I refer anyone reading this to please check out Brad's (markgracecollector) great post about the heraldry theme.

And Brad, if you're reading this, I know that the upright lions was common among several European monarchies - however I feel confident in saying Donruss Crusades owes much to the Coat of Richard I. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Richard_I_of_England_Arms.svg

alifaxwa2 - Board rules says you can spam in your signature, but given the specificity of this thread and the fact that you're not starting a separate thread just to spam - I suppose it should be alright. So what do you have? {:-)

Anyone need this Thomas bat/patch #'d to 44 from 2004 E-X?

I also have a 2008 UD Premier auto #'d 44/50 that I can scan when I get home.

Anybody know if Frank is still signing in Iowa this weekend? I just went to the Bob Feller Museum site and it no longer gives a date for his signing (was supposed to be tomorrow). All it says now is Private Signing TBD.

Frank Thomas Siging Update:
That would be a "negative" for this weekend (today) :( I did call the Museum today and they said the private signing WILL happen but, the date is still up in the air and TBD (to be determined).

Hi fellas!

Haven't been around a lot lately...hot and heavy into the move, but I had the internet turned on today and, while I'm resting, found an auction one of you might be interested in just because of numbering.

Hey guys...

It's been a while since I've posted. No new cards to talk about but did pick up a 2006 A's BP/ST game used jersey and a 2006 Green Alt Game Used Jersey A's as well as one of the Say No To Drug wristbands. I am starting to pack up some of the Thomas memorabilia and organize it and inventory it at the same time. I was wondering if anyone had a database or checklist or knows of one exhisting on line that covers all of Big Franks cards and one adversely that covers all the misc memorabilia that is out there of him. Thanks for any input. If anyone has any Game Used Items (non cards) that they are looking to move, drop me an email.

Nice pickups...was the wristband a private sale?

Yes it was. I had made another Thomas purchase from the guy in the past, and told him when he was ready to move the other items that I would have an interest. I got a pair of really nice Reebok Big Hurt cleats (circa 2000), another black white sox game use hat, and the wristband. As you probably know the SNTD wristband is elusive to say the least!

Don't know how to post pics, but if I figure it out I will.
