Hey Guys,

Does anyone know anything about this card other than it is a 1/1? I picked it up at a card show a few years back and was just curious about it.

I think that is just a homemade/showmade type of card? I don't see it as anything that was produced by Post and distributed in products or factory sets as a chase card. Of course I could be wrong :?:

Some doofus was stamping cards a few years ago. They are a novelty at best.

This COA came with the card.

Hey Matt,
Welcome aboard to the greatest Frank Thomas thread ever! It is to me since it's the "only" Thomas thread I've been on. ::facepalm::

Did anyone pick up this PSA 9 that sold for $60?

http://cgi.ebay.com/1991-Topps-Frank-Th ... 4a9e0901ce

The reason I'm asking, althought it was athenticated by PSA there is one part of that shield that doesn't look right. Check out the bottom leaf, it seems to be touching the Desert Shield bar. It's a bad scan, but that leaf is supposed to be well away from that bar. I know there are basically 3 ways to distinguish an non-authentic Desert Shield card and that bottom leaf is one of them.

I've always wondering if my Griff's are fake or real. Would $60 for a psa 9 be a good deal if it were real?

I sold my 1991 Topps Desert Shield Griffey PSA 9 for $98 in November 2008.

I certainly hope I didn't step on anyones toes by winning this card - they're nice though and I sure regret selling the Griffey I had. This isn't the greatest scan but it is the Grand Finale version.

I'm pretty sure you can pick the jumbo OPC up on Beckett Marketplace for just a couple of bucks if you need it, but I haven't looked in awhile.

If any of your guys like error/variations, COMC.com has a bunch of 1995 SP base cards, both the .326 and .303 lifetime batting average variety.
