Pretty cool video honoring Thomas at Auburn.

Also does anybody know what games Frank played as a football player in '87. I was thinking it might be cool to try to get a ticket from one of those games.

I was at the ceremony. It was real cool to see him back in Auburn and hear him speak. I picked up some extra handouts from the ceremony thinking several Thomas collectors might want them. If interested, just pm me, and I will send them until I run out.

Kind of cool. I was going through that rookie season baseball media guide (only 2 pics of Frank, team photo and headshot) and after checking out Auburn's schedule, I found that Frank's very first away game as a college baseball player was in Statesboro, GA (yes, Statesboro Blues).

This is special to me because the team was in the 'boro playing Georgia Southern University, my alma mater.

Interestingly enough, Frank was in Auburn on Saturday as part of the 1st Honorary Auburn Wall of Fame Class.

That is awesome! I am a Georgia Southern grad too (2003)! I had no idea he ever played against the Eagles. I moved to GA with my parents in 1993 from northern IL (right before 8th grade), and was an obsessive White Sox and Thomas fan by that time already.

Very cool. Class of 2006 here, sounds like we may have crossed paths at Dingus or Retrievers at some time.

I don't think I told you guys yet, but a few of my early Thomas items are going to be featured in an upcoming Tuff Stuff article about Big Frank. I'm thinking April, but it may be June. I don't know to what extent my stuff will be featured, but I've been told they'll credit my collection in the article anyway.

It's very possible, I know he was in contact with several folks. I agreed to it with the stipulation that he take the 1990 Topps Blackless discoveries to his editors for consideration about an article. That's what I hope comes from this.

Thats pretty awesome. Great observation. I wonder why one of the Donruss cards shows the Reebok logo and the other doesn't? Very interesting...were the cards issued different years? I'm thinking it was a licensing agreement and it must have changed from year to year.
