bustin_knuckles: Went to 2 different Barnes & Noble's today looking for that damn Tuff Stuff. No luck. Called them (Tuff Stuff) to ask where the magazine was sold. They weren't any help. Where did you find that one? Subscription?
I have a subscription. If you want I'll ship it to you if you cover the cost of postage. Also I cannot find my Belle and Ventura cards. I haven't given up hope though. I still gotta dig through some more crap.

That's a beautiful card. I'm sure it will close at a high price. Plus, toriperson is a respectable, long time Frank Thomas collector.

Hey guys, I got this e-mail from my site last year & forgot to share. I don't usually share e-mails because I feel most of the time they are private, but this one was just too good to pass up.

I have a very unique hand painted portrait that Frank Thomas himself had painted of him, his first wife and children.. It is a one of a kind. After Frank and his wifes divorce when they moved I have a close friend that works for a moving company and he was the one who moved all their stuff. She had told him "take it I dont want it." So I bought it off them and thought you might be interested seeing all the other unique Frank Thomas items. I will also send pictures with this e-mail. write back or call if your interested or want any more information.

Trying not to be rude, I replied & asked him what he/she was looking to get for it.

Well i bought it for $3000. So I was thinking $5000.

Why isn't this in your collection yet Chad?

Trying to come up w/ the $5k ;

Honestly guys...I had hoped by posting this, you would see how much this painting means to me & would take up a charity fund to help cover the cost. It would look great hanging on my living room wall. My wife would LOVE it!

Just buy the thing. I myself have been contemplating purchasing a nice oil painting of A-Rod to hang right next to the family pic.

Interesting story though.

Before these jumped in price, I wanted to stock pile and grade. There were only 7 9.5's.

The price jump began a couple of years ago...right after I purchased the last dirt cheap one.

I paid $12 delivered for a copy that would easily grade Gem Mint with a 10 sig...the very next copy to sell on eBay went for $90!!! I was shocked. They've been in the $30 to $50 range ever since.

RE: Painting...

In all honesty, I bet Frank's kids would like to have that one day.

Yeah I bought mine about 3 or 4 years ago. I paid $4.25 and had combined shipping with a 2003 Topps Prime Cuts Trademark Bat card that I paid $4 for. I thought I got the steal of the century when I only paid $11.25 for the 2 cards including shipping. I think the 93 auto shouldve graded higher but ohh well. Maybe one day I'll resend it to BGS.

Wow, my wife would KILL me if I bought a family portrait of Frank for $5k! She'll remember the times that I complained about going to some portrait studio and spending a few hundred $$...... One of these days she is going to figure out that I don't just buy the Thomas cards that are $0.99!

LMK if you are interested in selling some of those rare 90's inserts from your site! I can help your cause........ Just fresh off of selling a Ripken 5-Star for $160 and the $$ is burning a hole in my pocket!
