To make up for the delay. Here's one I've been saving for a rainy day:
96samplecertifiedmirrorok2.jpg

It's a 1996 Select Certified Mirror Gold Proof.

No joke.

The provenance is impeccable and impervious - this came from The Bob Lemke Collection/Archives. It was sent to him direct by Pinnacle, along with other samples from the other '96 issues.

You can see it still has the 'crop marks' - the line indicators that printers use to align where to cut the cards from the master sheets.

I know this board hates long stories, so I won't get into what I consider an equally interesting tale about the holder this card is resting in. It's designed for a Topps card circa 1952-1955, it's THAT big.

Lance ;-)

P.S. Chad - stay away from me. <push!>

Lance, I think stories like that are very interesting. You should create a blog here and post those stories.

I swear to you Magic - all I purchased were the Franks. And as I think back - he didn't have a Griff. Had he - I would've paid it on the spot and it'd be swinging it's way to you.

However... on a related note... <g>

The only question I'm facing - send now or send for Christmas?

I'm 99.9% sure you don't have it. <eg>
