is this set junk?

It's got a Frank RC, so it's not junk, but it would be better if it was the 1987 Blue set rather than the 1990 Red reprint. As for condition, looks a little rough.

I was a bit surprised to see this Thomas Auburn card go for $338 when the bottom left corner was fuzzy. Probably a PSA 8 at best. I loved how the seller posted my question, which happened to contain my e-mail address. I figured that original bidders would back out.

Anyone interested in a BGS 7.5 copy with 9 & 9.5 subgrades (7 corner grade brought it down) for $325?

Why would the bidders back out after seeing your e-mail address?

Not because of that, but because he replied to my request saying that the condition was not mint. He sent the scans to me and I pointed out to him that the bottom left corner was fuzzy, which is when he replied to my original email requesting pictures.

Ahh...gotcha. Didn't know your question mentioned something about the soft corner.

Anyone have any info on this.. couldn't find any on ebay, and the only thing I could find is a thing that has like a green border promoting the product. This is a actual 8x10 with sample across the front aswell as the back.

Are these fairly rare or just no one tries selling them?

1997 Donruss Studio 8x10 Sample

Any info is appreciated!

Thanks,
Scott

Am I missing something? These cards book like $2.50 but every time I turn around it seems there is one selling $8-10 or sometimes even more. In this case a lot more.

Derek,
I assume you know that the cards are the 2010 reprint issue. Why would anyone want that many anyway? Just don't make any sense unless they are going to try a pass them off as the real deal like a seller did awhile back and some sucker paid an ungodly price for just one. I believe it was in the hundreds.

I knew watching a raw issue sell so well would bring some out of hiding. This just hit the bay, I am guessing it won't get any where near this though.

I was happy to just sell my raw version for $300 on ebay yesterday, so then I listed this one just to see what happens. I have no real desire to sell it unless it comes close to my BIN price.

Did you guys see that Brian Gray just had Frank sign a bunch of 1990 Leaf rookies for an upcoming product?

Do you know when and in what product?

90 Leaf Buyback autos will be inserted in all 2012 baseball products. Cards will be numbered to players jersey number.

Masterpieces football has the word "Patch" on the front. Baseball had that players jersey number.

Hey all! I could use some expertise. Did anyone see this yet?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/320830960071?ss ... 1438.l2649

I was going to bid but then realized it doesn't say PATCH behind the auto, whereas all the others I've seen say it. I contacted the seller to ask if it actually says PATCH (thinking it might just have blown out in the pic), but he hasn't replied. Am I wrong to assume this was probably an auto swatch that had the serial # added, the green border replaced with a brown border, and that nice looking 4 color patch stuffed in there? I feel stupid implying that someone would go that far, but Frank's cards are really starting to get up there, so I don't think it's a stretch.

What do you guys think?

Baseball did say PATCH. I also question this card being real.

I do believe that to be a fake but as everyone knows, my knowledge of masterpieces is sketchy at best. Here is what a real one looks like:

http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/2 ... -101490195

Looks like a reframed jersey/auto.
