Recent events have forced a critical change in the way I'll be collecting from this point going forward. I won't delve into it since so many have gone down the same or similar road - suffice to say that I have to deal with new realities.

This does not mean I've "moved on" or otherwise leaving the hobby. Rather it means that I have to work with what I have and try to make the best of things.

I am fully committed to our guy and his date with Cooperstown.

However, having said that, I'm going to be leaving the boards for a time to focus on those issues which I'm confronting. And unlike last year when something similar occurred, I wanted to reach out and let you guys know why I won't be around.

The double-update I had planned and the site redesign & overhaul itself is on permanent hold, so the primitive interface that's up there now is what it'll be up for the foreseeable future. Sorry. <shrug>

Good luck & happy collecting guys!

Lance :-)

I hope that these issues improve quickly. We will miss you on the boards!

Maybe a topic we can all share a bit on...

Do any of you know of cards of other players in which Frank makes a cameo on? I'm talking the "unintentional" inclusion, or at least one in which he's not credited on the card.

Any thoughts?

None that I can think of. I've never even thought of that.

I've seen some guys that have tons of cards that feature their player on someone else's card.

They only card like that I can think of is the Tom Selleck Mr. Baseball Upper Deck insert (1992)...Selleck is fielding and Thomas is walking behind him wearing NEW YORK YANKEE PIN STRIPES!!!!!!!!! I believe beckett now credits Frank being on the card, but it didn't used to when it first came out. The card only has Tom's name and info on it.

That's the card the comes to mind first.

What's going on fella? Not really all to new to the forum but I rarely post on here. The name is Johnny. I collected mostly basketball for the last 15 yrs or so with a player collection of Marbury. Getting bored with his stuff as there isn't much for me to pick up now. Anywho I always liked Thomas and had a simple selection of cards. Been picking up some of his cards lately <very modest> and my lcs owner gave me this card and I need your help on it...Cant make out what this card is about. What was suppose to be in the circle?

Any input is appreciated.

Hey guys...

I was curious if any of you have a picture of Frank using a black Mizuno glove or know of a baseball card featuring Frank using a black Mizuno First basemans mit. I continue to find shots and cards of him using a Rawling, Reebok, Wilson, and as in that Selleck card a tan Mizuno. If you come across one, I would think that it would have to be early in his career, please post a picture of let me know the card and year so I can attempt to look it up. Any thoughts or examples would be truly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

On the 1992 Front Row, do all of Frank's cards have two variations, one with the 'Exclusive Offer' gold stamp on the back and the other without? (Beckett only lists #4 with both variations)
