Frank Thomas collectors thread

No sir, I was underbidder on the Thomas ball/base card that sold last week. Still seeking out that one. I need the gold parallels for the ones that have the gold version. I'm also not sure if Frank is in the Base Trios version /25...I've never seen one.

Anyway, I have a ways to go. Slowly but surely.

From What I can find there is no base trio card. There are 2 trio cards with jersey. On with Bagwell and Delgado.the other is with Durham and Konerko. There are gold versions of both. also have seen white, white w/strip and black jerseys for the Thomas.

I know, I am now, too, unless it's got GU with it. A premier with a sticker sold for 35 last night. I don't want to pay that much, seeing as I really need 2, 1 to put on this one as well (With a griffey)

I purchased a Thomas lot a few months back, and among it was a 1997 Score Jumbo 5X7 card #1 of 9. I could not find anything on it in the Beckett almanac, anybody have any info on this? Thanks

TOUGH card. I've seen 3 in the last 4 years. Congrats on a lucky pickup.

Lance's site has some information about the set. Beckett doesn't recognize it, but I'm pretty sure the Standard Catalog is now. I'm missing the Juan Gonzalez from my set, but I hope to pick up a second Thomas one day.

Im 99% sure that was the site I was on this morning, reading about the "the 10 toughest", etc. The article on "card flipping" was very interesting, considering there is a seller on Ebay with a Jeter Ultimate Patch that my wife was eyeing, and it is an attempt to flip.

I really only want one, and don't want to get in a bidding war and push someone up on all of them...so if anyone is thinking about bidding any of these, please pm me so we don't step on each others toes...i don't want to put really high bids on all of them just in hopes of winning one.

Got a notification from eBay yesterday that there were several 1997 Leaf Frank Thomas Collection cards for sale on eBay by ID traderjj. Didn't get a chance to look at them yesterday and when I went to look for them today and I can't find any evidence of them being on eBay at all (current or completed auctions). Does anyone know if the seller pulled them?

I thought about it...you know I'm a sucker for that stuff. A pretty early signature, and it may be tough to find one auto'd from early on again, but the marker looks a bit faded. They claim it's clean in the listing, but I wasn't sure so I passed.
