The buyer of those high end Thomas cards must have "the resources" . Nice cards but a little to pricey for my wallet.

Rick. I too was wondering how all of a sudden "gigglemoon" came up with so many Thomas cards.

I think he may have bought a collection from an individual and is now selling it. I am a bit surprised by how many he must be selling off ebay, since many have been ended early or cancelled.... Is someone on here gobbling them up? I was kind of curious what the 1996 Leaf Gold signature went for....

The only two I was serious about were the '97 Precious Metals and the '98 Fractal Materials Z2 diecut...mostly the diecut as it's truly impossible to find and would put me 1 card away from a complete wooden card run.

I emailed the seller later, and they're all gone.

I, too, am curious about who picked up all those cards. I still need (3) 1997 Leaf Thomas collection cards to finish my set, and was planning on making an attempt on one or two of them before they were pulled off. I emailed him and asked what happened to them and he just said they were no longer available.

I was looking through a Frank Thomas website (frankthomascollection.com) and I noticed this advertisement and it reminded me that I ordered this poster and have it stored away. Any of you frank collectors know how rare it is? I would imagine it is much more plentiful than a typical dealer promotion poster.

Nice Chad. Is that the Brilliants Shining Star base card or the Pulsar card?

Don't know how rare it is, but if you decide to get rid of it I'd love to have it.

Thanks. It's the Pulsar. Wanted a copy for awhile now, but refused to pay Burbank $80+ for it. Glad I can finally cross it off my list. :D

I'm finding more and more with my auctions that if I let them go from .99, I have been getting a better return than with BIN...this maybe the case. Of course you would want to put a reserve to protect yourself on the higher priced items...most of the time I won't even look at BIN because most people have their stuff priced higher than normal hoping someone will hit it. Just my 2c worth.

Yeah, I tend to agree. Thing is, I put mine up for BIN/BO after this one was listed & the bidding was already over $240. Now it's like $340, all the while mine could have been purchased cheaper. :?

The one that was listed was a high starting bid. $200 IIRC

Wow, that is very interesting. I usually comb through the BIN's when I am bidding on anything over $30-40 to make sure I don't do just that. It will be interesting to see how high this goes. Maybe you should increase your price in anticipation for the loser of the auction searching for another copy!

I think Rick's there. I had originally planned to be there, but I have a wedding in Upstate NY next weekend and I couldn't justify taking two days off from work in the first two weeks of the school year.

Thursday evening, fly to Rochester. Friday, wedding. Saturday Niagra Falls and flight to Atlanta for my g'ma's 65th birthday party. Sunday morning, back to Houston. Sunday evening, John Mayer concert outdoors. Monday, time to sleep. Tuesday, Mr. Clark again.
