Topps Heritage. They remind me of the day back in my childhood when my dad came out of the attic with two paper sacks, put them down on the bed and said "have fun sorting these"...it was all his cards from his childhood - complete sets of 1956 - 1960 Topps Baseball and 1957 Topps Football plus all his dupes. We open a box or two together every year, which is a lot of fun for both of us!

There are many nice modern sets, but my all-time favorite remains 1962 Topps. The first "old" baseball card I purchased as a child was card #285, a dog-eared copy of Curt Simmons. I think I liked the red sleeves on his shirt. I still have the card (and a mint signed copy). Looks something close to this.

And BTW, that Musial above, IMO IS a REAL GU barrel, that barrel is one that I would love to have.

1997 Flair Showcase. The set looked amazing and had super rare legacy and masterpiece parallels. The inserts were cool too - Wave of Future and hot Gloves. Boxes were pricey and it took like 60 boxes to even be able to put Row 0 set together because you only got 1 or 2 cards from first 60 in a box so you had to do a lot trading and searching, which back then the internet was still fairly new for the hobby and finding people to trade with online was much more difficult then it is today.

I've always liked the 1991 Topps Desert Shield cards. Pic is not mine, sadly.:(
