Well I'm almost completely set for TwinsFest. I ended up deciding to get a 16x20 for Tony Oliva to sign. I have my ROMLB, more than what I plan on getting signed, and most of the cards I plan on getting signed as well. I do need to stop by the LCS in Sioux Falls, SD when we are there with my dad to see if they have any cards of guys that I don't have. If not, I will be taking a couple of ice cream helmets that I have gotten from my time at the games to get signed by a couple of guys. I'm really pumped for my short week next week.

So watching SportsCenter this morning I found out that the Royals Cards blown call at 1st (in the 85 World Series) happened on my birthday. Never paid attention to it until they mentioned the date today.

This notice is required by law.

G'day.

I'm just hanging out now. Around 3 I plan to go inquire about a job, then head out for the HOF induction.

It's going to be exciting, because Kingery should be there to accept his award. I'm bringing my game used bat to have him sign, and possibly a card.

I know, right! I'm like that extra commemorative patch in a Topps blaster that they "throw in" but really offset the cost of by decreasing the # of cards in the packs you get in the blaster and not putting the same inserts in them!

Glad to have you here as well. Such value added!

Bob Costas has had some work done.....starting to look a little artificial and creepy. Random thought after seeing him on MLB Network

Cool. Best of luck with whatever direction it takes you man.

That has already been decided. Going to try and turn some of these HOF autos into vintage hof rookie slabs, 1959 Fleer Ted Williams cards, PSA t206s, and misc Walter Johnson stuff.

Thanks guys. I thought ThoseBackPages (Eric) would be the only one to hit the like button in approval. Glad you guys think its a good idea too.

Vintage is what got me in the hobby to begin with. It's the one aspect of collecting that I NEVER get tired of buying/trading for.

You have to keep doing what makes you happy in this hobby man. I used to like the old stuff, then got into this Ethier PC and it is what I enjoy collecting. Having the best of one thing is good enough to keep me collecting. Ya know?

Agree 100%. It doesn't matter to me if anyone else likes the cards I buy, as long as I have fun collecting and building it up for my son its fine by me.

What kind of box/etc do you store your slabs in? Do you put each slab in a plastic bag to avoid scratches?

I like the Vault boxes. I'm actually looking to buy some graded card bags soon. I need to make a big order for boxes, bags, and magnet cases sometime soon.
