Apparently! Doctor said they've never seen it caught this late before, but I'm also in the middle of nowhere. They are wondering if the specialist on Tuesday might be able to see an undeveloped one, but the 'right' kidney is definitely bigger than normal since it has to compensate for the lack of the left kidney. Also means no contact sports going forward, which is a bit of a bummer, but good thing his mom is the cross country coach lol

I think Jayme and I are both still in shock over this, haha. Would also explain why his HSP diagnosis is hitting him a little harder than they expected, since it goes through the kidney(s)

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Once we get past this HSP, sounds like everything should be fairly normal for him other than the contact sports and some slight diet modifications. Granted, there might be more to it than that once we see the specialist on Tuesday
