Working extra 'cuz of the snow. Hope everyone out East is safe and warm. Valentine's gift got great reviews and first day of Camp for alotta teams. Can't beat that!
Morning guys. I'll save you my weather report and go straight to the source.
- Today's Storm: A strong area of low pressure was located over the northern part of the Gulf of Maine early this morning. The first band of snow which caused snow to fall for most of the night across northern Maine is now lifting to the north of the area.
A stronger and heavier second band of snow is pushing northward into southern parts of Aroostook County and will continue lifting northward and affect all of northern Maine during this morning. This second band of snow is anticipated to produce heavy to very heavy snow for several hours this morning into early this afternoon. It should be noted that this band of heavy snow will likely produce snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour.
In addition to the heavy snow this morning, north winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow throughout this morning. Very poor driving conditions are expected at times this morning due to the combination of heavy snow and blowing and drifting snow. You are urged to use extreme caution if you have to drive this morning."
Heard a grumpy man on the radio this morning, when asked what he got his wife for Valentine's Day, say, "Nothing. I bring her home a paycheck every week."
