Been getting lots of craigslist calls and emails as of late. I've listed a couple things to get rid of them.

Problem is, some of the interested buyers are from far eastern South Dakota which means that I'd probably have to drive.

Oh well.

Morning, all.

Been a long time since I posted, but want to try to post more regularly.

Last October I had about a four-week span where I lost three people close to me, two to illness and one to accident. That combined with health issues and, frankly, a recurrence of my clinical depression problems kept me out of the loop here. I occasionally lurked but didn't feel up to posting anything. Workwise, I am planning on this being the last semester at the college, barring some miraculous benevolence from my boss. I still like the actual working with the students, but, due to either a personal character flaw of my own or the effects of being ignored by those I trusted and admired most at the college, my heart is no longer in the work. I have been there for 28 years now and am officially the worker with the most seniority in the entire floor, counting bosses/supervisors/etc. but feel like a dinosaur rather than a valued employee.

Annnnnnnyyyway, Thanks for the thoughts and emails from you guys recently (Dan, I did see yours but flaked on responding til now, sorry). I am working on getting my head together as best as I can and plan to stop by more often.

As far as Jim Fregosi's passing, it is oddly heartbreaking. I looked up to him a ton and he was my second favorite player of all time, edged slightly by Rod Carew. As a kid, I got to meet Jim and get my picture with him. Just a couple years ago, I sent a copy of the pic to him and he personalized it for me. Those who did TTM know that Jim was among the most responsive, generous signers of all. If you want to see my Fregosi collection, click on the link below (assuming it still works). RIP Jim, you will be missed.

Good to hear from ya Andrew and hang in there. I still remember when you received that Topps certified Fregosi auto :)

You've always been first class around here Andrew, whenever you can and whenever you want, there is a place on FCB where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came :)

Good Morning Gents! I hope all is well for Friday with the weekend around the corner. Tradition for us is feasting on a meal and watching a movie with desert. I will be cooking up a very tasty homemade valentines day meal tonight. Starting the top sirloin steak marinade right now which will be served with jumbo cajun spiced shrimp, roasted fingerling potatoes, roasted brusselsprouts with cranberries and pine nuts and a baked loaf of jalapeno cheese bread. For desert will be freshly baked sugar cookies which we will frost and eat while watching Blazing Saddles :)

JackLondon - Hey Andrew! It is great to hear from you!! Very sorry to hear about the recent loss as well as the tough moments right now. That is an awesome picture of you and Mr. Fregosi, especially with the TTM return :)

JackLondon Andrew its nice to see you post again. That picture of you and Fregosi is great. Sadly, he was one that I never got around to sending TTM. If I recall, you were collecting signatures from the key players of Watergate, or am I thinking of someone else?

You need to send some of those Brussels sprouts to me and let me QC them. Of course, it will take multiple shipments for me to be able to give a true assessment, but what the heck.

Yep, I still do that. Have added a couple recently and will scan them soon.

Do you have any need for a John Dean auto? If so, send me your address I'll get it out to you

Thanks for the offer, but I have that one (and the Woodward and Bernstein, too) from that set. Neat cards with nice on-card autos.

No worries. I picked it up for myself, but thought I'd see if you needed it. I couldn't pass it up for what I paid for it. I may have to look at the others from the set as well since they look really nice

Howdy fellas. I actually have a full weekend off. No OT this week. So, I slept in this morning. Got up around 10:30 and just being lazy today. Sweet, because it rarely happens.

Morning/afternoon everyone .
Andrew: sorry to hear about the issues but good to see you here. Was literally just thinking of you Tuesday afternoon wondering how you were as I hadn't seen you here.

Done with work for the day, checked out of hotel, car is returned. Not much to do for the next 4 hours when main part of town consists of 4 blocks of buildings.
