Morning Kiddies
As of now you may all know that this happen about 35 miles northwest of me yesterday. Just look at the size of that thing. Luckily only 1 death was report with just about 30 injured and most of them were minor.......I can say it is because the news media, and social media, and all the apps we have today played a very big part in making sure people paid attention all day long and the fact it hit at about 7pm as well since it was still light out and you were able to see it happening and trained spotters were out and called it into the emergency services.
These 2 are the first tornado that hit a small town called fairville where there was the 1 death reported. And it has been said that every single building in the town has some kind of damage. And it is estimated that 75 to 80 percent it a total lose. This one was on the ground for about 2-3 minutes and in the second on you can see the debris flying in the air

This was the one that came right after the upper photos and it hit a town called Rochelle IL. the impressive thing of this was, no lose of life but heavy damage to a large part of the town too. This is called a wedge tornado. in the photos you'll see that the tornado forms from a large wall cloud which is the out winds of a leading disturbance......And look at how big this thing is. It takes the clouds around it and forms into this huge tornado.
I have friends in both of these areas and they are all counted for and only have some small damage for some of them. But just about 200 yards away from a buddies place his neighbors house and cars are completely gone. They found his truck in a open field half a mile away.

Good morning. Feel better Magic!
Decided to make a package offer of $50 for some photos I liked from ebay seller Historic Images. They have a great selection of press photos. Two for the Zimmer PC and one of 1902-08 Cubs pitcher Carl Lundgren, who lived in the town next of me. Not many photos of him I can find online, so this one was cool - as it dates from 1923 when he was head coach of my alma mater Illinois and he is teaching a course on sports coaching at U of I.

HELL TO THE NAWHAIL TO THE ORANGE HAIL TO THE BLUE
Sorry @moxacaine...Desmond is killing you guys!
Does anybody remember the Insane thrift store find that happened around here where a couple found an 1887 Four Base Hits card in old Bible?
It sold yesterday:
It apparently sat undisturbed for decades, perhaps more than 125 years, tucked into the pages of a book printed decades before the invention of electricity. A freebie for smokers in 1887, but now a valuable and rare collectible with a great story to tell, a newly discovered Four Base Hits John Clarkson has sold at auction for $95,600.
