this lot arrived in a plastic bubble mailer. soon as i opened it up, immediately i got the stench similar to that of an ashtray.

i removed the ticket from the holder and have them sort of airing out. is there a way to get rid of the cigarette smell without causing degradation?

Seriously though, I heard if you stick them in a microwave (or some other small enclosed space) with a saucerful of ammonia (or was it vinegar?) it will get the smell out in a few days...

Eventually the smell will go away.Anytime I leave something at my mom's house or she sends me something it reeks for days on end but eventually it smells normal again.Just let it air out and you will be good.

Put it in a tupperware container with the lid on. Also put baking soda in there (in a smaller container with no lid). Make sure you have it where it can't get knocked around so the baking soda can't get on your stuff. The baking soda will absorb the odor faster than airing it out.

I hate getting stuff that smells like smoke. It's ridiculous. I always have half the mind to send it back.

I've heard ziploc bag with a dryer sheet. I don't know that it works any better than just letting it air out.

You put dryer sheets at the end of a toilet paper roll. Oh wait that was something else.

Charcoal also sucks up scents. Backing soda is great also.

I use an ozone machine. Its a little over the top but I live in an apartment complex and they do not mind letting me barrow one from time to time.
