From Topps standpoint, they SHOULDNT have a Stras auto in BC

We all hope Stras has an auto in BCDP but thinking like Topps, it would make more sense if they made a base card for BCDP and put him as an auto in 2010 BOWMAN with BC.

That would give a HUGE much needed boost for that product. But on the other hand, DLP, make that Panini, will more than likely have a Stras auto in EEE and whatever else they come out with.

So where should he have a BC auto in, 2009 BCDP or wait until 2010 Bowman?

Think about this. It benefits UD the most to sign him. They have the only stras stuff on the market right now. They have a need because of the mlb properties deal.



I would be REALLY surprised if UD did not lock stras down as an exclusive.

I would be REALLY surprised if UD did not lock stras down as an exclusive.

Wouldn't do them any good this year if Strasburg doesn't play. BDP would have his "true" RC and while UD would have his RC autos, that'd be next year, not this year.

I'll be happy if he is in draft so I will have a card to sell immediately and recoup some of my money spent on busting wax. Especially since he will probably rip his UCL and have TJ in his rookie year anyway (or maybe a rotator cuff is more likely with his delivery.) I don't know but it seems like almost every young flamethrower goes down nowadays. With the pressure that is gonna be on him, he is gonna be pushin it to the limit... combine that with the luck that the Nationals have (aside from Zimmerman) and I think his arm might just explode.

Even if the product was like 07 draft and all the big name first rounders were only base cards and not autos, it would still be a huge success. There's a TON of talent in this year's draft class.

I am of the mindset that his USA cards are his best cards, no matter what gets produced now.

If you pulled a high-end parallel of a top guy, wouldn't it cheapen the moment if you discovered he had about 20 more in other products?

Just wondering...... what makes you say this? Are you assuming he'll be on the team in 10? Because I don't think signing a MLB deal makes him anymore eligible. Porcello had a MLB deal, as well as Jacob Turner this year.

I'm not trying to bust you or anything, I'm just wondering.
