I really don't get this, Cubs fans please explain. HOW DOES FUKUDOME HAVE 13 RBIS IN 293 AT BATS? I've never seen anything like that. He's on pace for 20 RBI's in 500 AT BATS. It's not like hes batting .150, he's batting .273. This is unreal looking at his stats. He's batting .311 with runners in scoring position... HOW? Chone Figgins is the worst player in baseball and batting .180 with 1 HR and he has 15 RBI's and hes batting .131 with runners in scoring position.

Explain, this baffles me!

No one getting on base in front of him. Proves why RBI fails as a stat.

Yep. Plus he doesn't have any power. OBP is higher than his SLG.

Not a good trade for Cleveland. Kosuke starts on fire every year and then fades in the second half. If you are going to trade for him, you do it before the season.

The only thing I can think of is this: Jersey sales must be really down this year for the Tribe. I can't wait the buy a Fukudome jersey. I've always wanted one, but you know... Cubs.

It's funny because the Cubs are pretty much the biggest suckers.

Going to guess that the prospects are Levon Washington and Kyle Blair.

Some dude said it was Abner Abreu and Carlton Smith.

and Ramirez and Pena to that list. neither is coming back next season and you can get value for both.

also don't understand why people keep saying Zambrano.
he is pitching well, and Cubs would have to pay a TON of salary to move him.

If you have to pay him...pitch him

If you compare him to the rest of the Cubs starting rotation then yes, he is pitching well
A 4.59 era doesnt cut the chili when you are pitching for a team that is lucky to score 5 runs in a three game span.

Abner's supposedly got good potential, but I haven't seen him play. I think the Indians named him their minor league player of the week last week, though. I've seen Smith pitch quite a few times. It's painful when they bring him in since he takes forever between pitches. He's also prone to be wild and doesn't seem real dominant. I'm not too sad to see him go!
