Smith has a career ERA of 4.21 so losing him is no big deal whatsoever. Abreu is interesting with his power/speed but strikes out way too much/walks too little. For what this move is I like it. Not going to put us over the top but Fukudome is a lot better than Buck/Kearns/Carrera. When Sizemore/Choo return we may have a MLB caliber outfield again.

I have to say, I love watching this guy play. He has been a really great addition to the team, and somehow has managed to avoid being injured which is quite a feat for any Indian this year.

I was reading along today and came across a thing that reminded me of this thread, and made me want to bump it.

Outfielder Kosuke Fukudome has 15 RBIs in 37 games with Cleveland, one more than he had in 87 games with the Chicago Cubs this season.

Maybe all those people who say that RBI is a flukey stat to go by are really on to something...

I think they need to try and sign him and put him either in center or left field.Let Sizemore go! He will never be the same.I can live with Choo/Brantley/Fukudome in the outfield.
