Some guy was looking for auto's of a player.....I happen to have a BGS 9.5 w/ 10 auto.....give him a price and he replies with:

"I'm not going to pay double for a card just because it's already graded." :oops:

Just thought it was funny.

I get annoyed by that type of response. A simple "no thank you" would suffice. That said, some of my BGS 9 cards and even a few of my gems have recently sold on eBay for LESS than what people are paying for raw copies of the same cards. Some people don't want their cards in graded holders while others don't care for paying a premium on a card that may only be slightly better in appearance than a raw copy if noticeable at all without a strong eye or loupe. I know I won't pay much of a premium on modern graded stuff for my collection even though I'm an avid BGS submitter. Outside of rookies, prospects, a handful of popular sets, and the occasional fluke hammer price on a low pop common, the graded card market is seemingly declining.
