David Wright, Hanley Ramirez, Stephen Strasburg, Aroldis Chapman, Evan Longoria, Brian McCann, Ryan Braun, Matt Kemp, Tim Lincecum, Felix Hernandez.
Lincecum, if he keeps it up.
Ramirez as well.
David Wright, maybe borderline.
Felix Hernandez maybe
Evan Longoria is overrated.
Aroldis Chapman threw about 5 innings this year.
Strasburg doesnt even have 10 starts in the leaague.
McCann and Braun, are you joking?

He's been my guy for a long time so I may be biased, but Carl Crawford is just a few hits away from 1500, has 400+ steals, 100+ homers and 100+ triples already.

I think we'll continue see more pitcher dominant seasons and seasons where speed/power players like Crawford will have the most statistically impressive years. The offensive highlights will be 30/30 guys like CC, Matt Kemp, and Hanley Ramirez rather than guys with tons of home runs. What I'm saying is, Carl Crawford will probably be referred to as the benchmark as far as performance for those type players. It also doesn't hurt that he plays great defense and has a strong arm.
He is a good player. But Hall of Fame? Thats a bit of a stretch.

I have to agree with lamala here because after 9 seasons you already know what your gonna get from Crawford and from what he's shown I just can't see him putting up HOF #'s. He'd have to have 8 more season's with at least 170 hits to get 3000 which he will need to get in.

I'm sorry but Adam Dunn?? :lol: Thats by far the funniest thing I have heard! The only good thing Dunn does is hit HR, so if he gets in then Dave Kingman should be a lock! ::facepalm::

Dunn has 350+ homers at age 30. He averages 40 homers per year. Assuming he starts to decline in production, he will still EASILY reach 500 within the next five or six years, and may have a shot at 600 if he plays until he's 40. 600 homers without PED allegations is an automatic HOF bid. Actually, 500 without PEDs is too, IMO.

Kingman hit 442 career homers, with a .236 career average. Dunn's career average is .250 for comparison's sake, but he will also likely end up with 100+ more homers AND reach the 500 milestone.

I don't believe a whole lot of players are locks so early in their careers. Albert Pujols and Miguel Cabrera are the only two that look like absolute certain HOFers. Pujols is probably a lock right now and Cabrera will easily make it unless he somehow forgets how to hit completely.

Definitely a long-shot, but Justin Morneau needs to be in the conversation as a 29 year-old with a 1st and 2nd place MVP finish on his resume. Hopefully he bounces back from the concussion that ended a year that arguably would have been his best so far.

.345/.437/.618 with 18 HR in 296 AB

Career Countng Stats
H = 995
HR = 181
RBI = 679

.286/.358/.511

The new stadium could really hurt his chances if he stays in MN his entire career though.

Agree with the poster on Prince Fielder. As a 26 year-old, he has a 3rd and 4th place MVP finish and his career totals are:

H = 826
HR = 192
RBI = 536

.279/.385/.535

If he can slim down like Ryan Howard, he'll be able to prolong his career. Speaking of Howard who is still 30 years old. He has a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place MVP along with a World Series ring and career stats of:

H = 902
HR = 253
RBI = 748

.279/.372/.572

And measured against the great one, Pujols who is 30 and has 3 MVPS, 2 2nd, a 3rd, and a 4th with career stats of:

H = 1900
HR = 408
RBI = 1230

.331/.426/.624

Pujols has 3 more years in the league than Howard, but completely dwarfs his numbers. If he plays until he's 40, what kind of numbers does he put up? 3500+ hits and 700+ HRs?

I'd say Morneau has a good shot if he keeps up his pace but I doubt he will by staying in MN

Adam Dunn isnt even an All Star and you want to put him in the Hall of Fame? He isnt even top 5 in National League first baseman.

Do you all realize what the Hall of Fame is? It is the best of the best. Evan Langoria? Adam Dunn? Brian McCann? Come on.
Do those names belong with DiMaggio, Clemente, Ruth, Aaron, Mays?
