You know, the base chrome parallels of guys who have autos in 2010 Bowman...are these even worth looking into as a "cheap" investment compared to their much more popular brothers or are these pretty much worthless long term?

"Cheap" is relative

Would you have liked to have picked up a few hundred Heyward base bowman 2007 BDPs at 50 cents a piece or chromes at a buck each?

This is a good point.

For the most part the autos will be the card to have, but in most cases when a player gets hot, non-auto stuff will still provide an opportunity for profit. And in a select few cases (i.e., Heyward), these will prove to have been a great buy at their current low prices.

Heyward is a slightly different scenario as his BCD was out a in 2007 as opposed to 2008 autograph. Think more along the lines of Alex Gordon in 2006

Jesus Montero is a notable from 2008 BDP who had auto and non-auto cards.

ROI will be MUCH bigger on the Non-Autos then the Autos..

If you dont have tons of $$ to sink into these players this is the way to go....

True, but at least Montero's card had a different pic. I wish Topps wouldn't "double up" on these prospects.
