I can't remember the last hockey game I watched from start to finish.

This was an absolultely incredible game. I kept yelling at the t.v., especially near the end when Miller was getting launched on from all angles.

Ugggh. I thought the close call to the Swiss would have been enough of an eye opener for Canada. Ryan Miller was magnificient. Canada had alot of pressure but to me it seemed like it was chaotic pressure. Like they had no ability to settle it down and attack from a system. USA just out willed them in this one and deserve the win. A long road ahead for Canada to a medal now. Gut check time.

great game, best empty net goal ive ever seen

Amen to that!

Also one of the first games where I saw back to back to back breakaways (one on one with goalie) - let alone all 3 getting stuffed!

I just drove to Tim Hortons to grab some coffee and soup and heard an interesting tidbit (no pun intended :D ) on Calgary sports radio, that was the first time in 50 years that the USA beat Canada in Olympic Hockey :o :o :o

I remember saying that Ryan Miller could win the US a Medal Single-handedly. hoho.

Either way, Team Canada is such a cluster-frak. So enamored with veteran leadership from the blue-line back. Roberto Luongo's been waiting to play for Canada since he was like 22 years old. MA Fluery is probably going to have to go through the same ordeal... it's just, ugh.

Canada and Russia will always be the best teams on the planet when they play with a sense of urgency. As it stands, Canada's playing like the olympic tournament was a 80 game season.

Canada / Russia will be dirty-awesome. I just wonder when it'll click.. Down 1 goal to the Russians? Down 2 goals?

The jerseys they wore for that game were the same ones team USA was wearing back in the 60's when they beat Canada last time.

I was about to make fun of your country, but I love Tim Hortons too much. You should watch the "How I Met Your Mother" episodes Little Minnesota and Duel Citizenship. They are rather humorous about your country, but in a good way 8-)

Fixed it for you. Canada dominated the US in that game, it wasn't even close. Miller won that game, or you could say Brodeur lost it...

I am blessed (or cursed, depending on who you are) to live in the city with the most Tim Horton's per capita on the planet!

Drive two minutes in any direction from anywhere in the city and you'll find at least one Timmy's. There's even places with a Tim's store on one side of the street, and a Tim's drive-through on the other side, directly across from one another.

(Brantford, Ontario for those interested in where I live)

I had the pleasure of going to Tim Horton's for the 1st time when I went to the Pens Blue Jackets game in Columbus this past October and have craved them ever since.
