I'm not a big fan of GU'd piece cards anyway, but really not a fan of this idea.

Witt Jr. and Carroll kept cards in their pockets in games:

Two MLB stars destroyed their baseball cards by secretly 'wearing' them during games

Bobby Witt Jr. and Corbin Carroll started the MLB regular season with baseball cards in their back pockets

I would definitely do that if I was in MLB. Collect my own cards, trade cards and GU stuff with other players, think way too hard about my walk-up music, all that stuff. My collection would be monstrous.

I hope this brings a resurgence in wallet cards (if there was ever any popularity in the first place). Bob Costas, for example, has famously carried around a 1958 Topps Mantle All-Star in his pocket for decades.
