Game-Used Mitchell & Ness?

I just spotted this very nice Ripken, but then something struck me as odd. Isn't that a Mitchell & Ness tag? I thought they only made replica jerseys, albeit very nice replicas. Am I missing something here?

I believe you are correct. Could it be when the teams wear a throwback jersey? Or maybe in an oldtimers game, or when he was honored by the team and he wore an
old style" jersey?

You know, I was thinking that every time they put something in a card that is game used-by said player,
how do we really know it is in fact legit . Because the card companies do not actually make the cards and put the stuff in them, their print companies do it for them. Those guys just get what they send them and tell them it is from said player.

I know the card companies put that on the card even, but we will never really know now will we, if in fact it is real..

I was thinking/hoping it was one of the options you put forth. Maybe a jacket? I don't know.

I do know that M&N did make throwback jerseys for the teams to wear on turn back the clock days. This is probably nothing more than a game used M&N used for this purpose

I understand what you're saying, but it would take either incredible stupidity or balls to try and pass off a Mitchell & Ness tag as game used or whatever. I would tend to believe that Donruss would know enough not to pay for such an item, and if they did, not to leave proof in a card, especially one of a very notable player from a very notable set. I'll give the benefit of the doubt, for now.

EXACTLY RIGHT. When there is a turn back the clock game M&N supplys the jerseys. Thats where the piece came from if i had to put my money on it.
