I don't know how anyone can tell if those Jordans are fake or not based on those not so great quality scans. You really need a magnifying glass to get a good look at the dot matrix pattern of the card, and then you can also see the subtle differences between the real thing and a fake one.

And again, the point of criticism isn't the showing off of a steal or whether or not those cards are real or fake. The funniest part is that he talked the seller down by a few more bucks when he already had a rob-granny-blind steal in his mind.

It took me about 3 seconds to be able to tell and it wouldn't have taken scans as good as the first ones. The blue and red are way off and the flag after Premier is the easiest way to detect the counterfeits. It would take BGS or PSA less than a second to mark these as "Questionable Authenticity" and the OP would be significant grading fees.

I miss REAL 'steals' every minute on ebay, so I'm used to it.

Or a couple of Ripken rookies at an old lady's garage sale for dirt cheap. A once in a lifetime find. C'mon Russ who are you kidding? And as far as the jealousy, it has nothing to do with basketball cards Russ, but the once in a lifetime find that this guy could have stumbled upon. What I don't understand is you guys post "steals" all the time that you won on ebay or got at a shop or show. Now the only true way to get a "steal" is to buy a card worth a large amount of money and not pay that large amount of money correct? To do this you need one of two things. You either need nobody else to see it or bid on it or offer a price for it, or you have to bank on the seller(whomever they may be) not knowing just exactly what they have.

Now how in the hell is that any different? It's okay at a shop or show or ebay but nowhere else? I mean seriously...wtf is that? How does it make any sense? Sometimes...I really don't understand you guys. You are so damn wishy washy its pitiful. Can you all just make up your minds and we will call it a day?

I don't go to auctions or garage sales. I don't get mad at them, and I wasn't jealous of the OP for overpaying for 2 fakes or underpaying for 2 potentials steals knowingly. IT WASN'T jealously.

What is so hard to understand about that. Just thought it was a ****** thing to do KNOWING he was getting a STEAL (hence the reason for the post) and still haggle the old lady to take advantage of her even more.
