I disagreed with the Raiders cutting him early anyway. And I think I've disagreed with just about everything the Raiders have done the last 4 or 5 years anyway.

I don't blame them for releasing him. When a guy asks his team to let him go, unless he's one of your key players (Chad Johnson, for example, as he's wished to be relocated), I don't blame the team for complying. It can be a smart move.

Garcia is ripping on them to the media now from the outside. Just imagine if they had retained Garcia instead of granting his request, and had to deal with this inside their lockerroom. The Raiders would be in a bigger mess.

It was smart of them to release him.
