so I went to the Rome Braves game last night.. first off let me state I am not a "complainer" when someone doesn't sign, matter of fact, he did sign.
Garin's dad was at the game and was standing down with us. Nice guy, introduced us to Garin. I had a blue refractor of his Team USA card. His dad said "Hey Garin, check out this card, pretty cool".. and Garin said "I better not see these cards on the internet..." REALLY?? Said this in front of his dad.. I could not believe the dick comment of this kid...
Needless to say, his dad apologized for him later on.. I was still blown away. I said to his dad.. "if he has a problem with people selling his auto, tell him to personalize"..
anyway, just my rant..

Doesn't change my opinion of him, he should be glad he is on the internet and people are selling his cards, means he is gonna be good, well lets hope so.

it wasn't really a "question" of him signing or not. and his "opinion" it was the dick delivery that pissed me off..

That's getting more and more common with people, even retired players. Jim Wynn is getting that way too(even though he hasn't played ball since before I was born). IMHO, if you don't want to sign, you never have to. Nobody can force you. If you are worried about people selling, don't sign. And don't do it for the kids either. I can't count on all my fingers and toes how many people use their kids to get autos. Just don't sign at all. But for the love of Christ, please, if you are going to sign, do so without being an ass. And please don't screw up my item intentionally because you figure I can't sell it if you mess it up. It would piss me off if I was a seller but being a collector, it really sucks. And educate yourself on what sells on ebay and what doesn't. If I hand you base cards to sign, trust me, it's not going on ebay. I'd be wasting my time even if I did put it up so in the end, the jokes on me either way. But some dude having you sign a 16x20 or a jersey, even if you feel they might sell it, either sign it the best you can, or not at all.
