Garnett RC Auto?

I was just reading the Rondo article on Beckett.com & it said

"Garnett’s autographed rookie cards sell for $50. Pierce and Ray Allen don’t have autographed rookie cards, but their rookies book for $40. Shaquille O’Neal, who is likely on his way to the Hall of Fame, only has rookie cards that sell for about $10-$15."

I'm no Hoops card authority by any means, but does KG really have an auto RC??? I always thought the Topps Finest RC was his top card. Thanks!

Thats not a rc auto. Thats not an officially liscensed NBA product.

KG has not Rc Autos. But in 99-00 UD Reserve and I think UD Ulimate, there were 95 UD SP buyback rc Autos. Those are considered to be rookie autos but not true rc year autos. Id still consider them to be rc autos by definition tho.

I was the one who wrote the article. I made a mistake with the Garnett RC auto and I explained my mistake in a comment on the message board.

When I searched for "Garnett RC" I didn't look to see the card set it came from. I just looked at the price and went with it. That card I was referring is actually Gasol's RC with Garnett. It was a careless mistake.

I know it's easy to knock everything people on Beckett do, but I am working at having a bigger basketball presence. Unfortunately, I am going to make mistakes from time to time because I am just human after all. All of those autos are from parallel or insert cards, and not part of the "base" set, and thus not considered true Rookie Cards. They are from Rookie year sets, just not True Auto Rookie Cards. Although for seach purposes, most sellers put that in the title.
