GDT: USA vs Canada Gold Medal Game

today is the Gold Medal game between Team USA and Team Canada in men's hockey. the 2 teams met last Sunday in the Preliminary Round and the US won that game 5-3. the US comes in undefeated at 5-0 with 22 GF and only 6 GA. Canada is 4-1 with 32 GF and14 GA. the US won its last game 6-1 over Finland to advance to the Gold Medal game and Canada beat Slovakia 3-2. this should be one of the best game of the Olympics which has seen it's share of incredible games.

the game starts at 3:15 p.m.ET and can be seen on NBC in the US and CTV, TSN, and RDS in Canada.

my prediction...

Went to bed early last night so i was wide awake for the game today. Just woke up and can't wait for it to start

Gonna be a fast paced game! I think it all comes down to goaltending once again. Miller will need his A game and if Canada doesn't get it from Luongo it will cost them the game. I expect Canada to double them in shots again so hopefully we get some bounces this time.

^^^^^ Forgot to also mention that this is the last winter Olympics in North America for how long? I know 2014 is in Russia. Where is 2018? Decided on yet or not? We've been lucky with 02 in Salt Lake and now 2010 in Vancouver.

But this was definitely "The Dream Match" for this Olympics.
