That is both an awesome and interesting fact. Without a doubt this should be one of the greatest non NHL hockey games of all time huh??

should definitely go down as one of the greatest of this generation for sure. Especially with the NHL's future involvement being "up in the air" in the next Olympics.[/quote:123kh98m]

^^^^^ Forgot to also mention that this is the last winter Olympics in North America for how long? I know 2014 is in Russia. Where is 2018? Decided on yet or not? We've been lucky with 02 in Salt Lake and now 2010 in Vancouver.

But this was definitely "The Dream Match" for this Olympics.[/quote:123kh98m]

2018
The cities of Annecy, France in the French Alps, Munich, Germany (host of the 1972 Summer Olympics), and PyeongChang, South Korea, a two-time previous bidder, are vying for the hosting rights to the event.

2022 has yet to even be discussed.

Yeah so at least 12 more years untill we get another Winter Olympics in North America. By then most of these players playing today will all be retired.

Grr. Not happy with USA on the backcheck. They absolutely need to make it 2-2; if Canada gets up 3-1 it's over.

Great game so far. I too am stunned about the shots being so close. Canada needs an insurance goal!!

Likely. If Canada scores it's over. If USA scores then I think momentum swings too hard for Canada to recover.
