Had a nice snipe bunch setup ready to go, and not a single one went through. Said something on Gixen about Ebay needing a verification text or something.. IDK... All I know is I missed a good deal on a bunch of cards that I would have been quite happy to aquire...

That's not good. I'd be upset, so I know how it must feel. I wonder what the problem is...

I use esnipe even though its a pay site. I've never missed a snipe in the 5+ years i've used it...

Preach.

It costs about a penny per dollar it snipes for you. (An item that ends at $50.00 costs you about 50 cents) but it's worth it. Reliable.

I have used it for as long as I can remember and never had a problem.

I've had esnipe miss one bid in the years I've been using them. There was some sort of outage due to ebay changing their API without notice, IIRC. Sometimes the cost seems onerous at 1% of the bid, but I use it sparingly. And it's 1% of your winning bid, not the snipe amount, so if you bid $100 and win it for $50, you're debited 50 "points" instead of 100. And although they are a pay model where you buy points they aren't ballbusters. Like Phillyfan says, if you have a negative points balance they still place the bids. I'm not sure how far in the red they allow you to go, but I've never let myself get too far below.

I may just have to check out Esnipe, because losing out on the batch I just did was pretty gut wrenching...
