A few friends and I will be arriving in Grand Central at either 3:40 or 4:12 (most likely 4:12). We are going to walk (or take the shuttle), and get off at the first stop (Time Square). From there, we will be taking the 7 Subway straight to the game. A few questions about Citi:
-What time do the gates open?
-Anything we should do at the game (Obv. besides watching it), like any special food to get?
-Do they allow you in the first few rows if you don't have tickets there (this is prior to the game)?
-Where is the best place to get autos before the game?
-Where is the best place to catch fly balls before the game?
-Anything else I should know?

Thanks guys for all your help!

I'm not 21. In fact, you met me at the last WP Show (with johansantana57, and JCmint). I don't think I look 21, do I? ;)

I went in August when Wright got beaned by Cain(I'm from Chicago)

Shake Shack has decent burgers in right field but looong lines

-What time do the gates open?
4:40pm, which is when the Mets take BP. The visiting team takes BP around 5:30pm.

If you like french fries, you've got to try Box Frites. It's in the same food area as Shake Shack, on the field level behind center field. They recently opened fried dough stands around the stadium, if you're still in a fried food mood.
-Do they allow you in the first few rows if you don't have tickets there (this is prior to the game)?
Not behind home plate, but near 1st and 3rd base you can go all the way down to the field during BP. I'd guess this would be your best bet for autos, especially the 3rd base side if you're looking for 'Stros.
-Where is the best place to catch fly balls before the game?
The one time I went to BP the Cards were in town, and Pujols was hammering ball after ball into left field. Hardly anyone was up there, and I was wishing I'd thought to sit up there! You could probably get your hands on a couple Carlos Lee BP HRs if you wanted to be that far from the field. Coaches threw a couple loose balls to fans, but only to kids.

Have fun!
