Bruce - What is this box you are speaking of??

It was supposed to be a box of 97 Pinnacle Certified but looks like it might end up being a box of 97 Pinnacle Totally Certified. Tripleplaysportscardz or whatever their name is sent me a message after I paid letting me know they got the description wrong and they asked me if I still wanted it. I said yes, so hopefully they'll still send it. I don't want a refund!!

Ugghhh...just had my first disappointing experience with checkoutmycards.com

Placed an order for 4 cheap Dawson cards Wed. night, and one of them was a REALLY good deal.
Then today I get this email from them.

We received your payment of $6.49, but unfortunately another buyer placed an order for 60+ Andre Dawson cards just 20 seconds before your order went through. This prevented your order from successfully going through.

That's a bummer Charlie. My 1st experience wasn't all that good from them. I got 6 cards from our very own Great Deals Rob, and 1 of them was the wrong version. ::facepalm::

Darren - I'm in the same exact position as you laptop wise...waiting for tax return day and all :lol: Jen and I are great...just enjoying the married times. We are planning a little hiking vacation trip for June so I'm pretty stoked for that. Sounds like we will meet her sister and mom in Utah in some canyon for some camping and backpacking.

Scott - You scared me for a second...glad to know I was thinking the correct state :lol: Should be fun a fun day for your 10 year old son Have fun on Sunday with that dude!!! As for trouble...only staying out of it until I'm caught

Dan - I wonder if the old classic tonka toys would be able to be scrapped for parts :lol: Things are normally NEVER made the way they should/used to be ::facepalm::

For all of you Office entusiasts...I present to you a dilemma, the Shrute way...

Fact: my sons birthday is later this month.

QUESTION: Does Tonka still make an indestructible Dump Truck that can withstand being thrown on concrete for years? Or have those days since passed and someone else taken over that niche?

I didnt even think to look during Christmas so its entirely possible that they are everywhere. At least I know that there won't be 50 people in the row I need to get to now, so thats kind of a victory

Hey Dan, that reminded me:

While cleaning the garage, I found my original Tonka dump truck! My mom had saved it in a box of toys of my brother, sis, and me! It still looks pretty good for being over 30 years old! I remember the fun I used to have the year I got it for Christmas. I used to fill up the truck with pine needles that had fallen from the tree! :lol:

Just roof raked, shoveled, and snow blew the estate. Lucky I didn't have a heart attack.


Parents made it in safely last night. Had another Christmas too. Max got a ton more Lego and he's getting the mother load tomorrow. My parents ended up giving me a 32GB iPod touch for a Christmas/Birthday present. No I can read the morning thread in the bathroom or in bed.



I would be up for another case or 2 of the Platinum if we took out all the teams with no autos and keep in mind that we got real lucky with only one redemption.
