I see a lot of baseball. I ride my bike. I don't think I had taken a bike ride to a baseball game since my sophomore year of high school baseball.

So 19 years after that, I took a ride to the Kernels-Bees game yesterday up in Cedar Rapids. Something different, and a well-played 2-1 game.

Good morning all. Had a call this morning to set up a job interview next week. It isn't a teaching position, which somewhat stinks, but it is a full time gig with the city and I'd still be working with children albeit in a lesser capacity. The job would be for the children's librarian. I'd focus on the children and young adults books, and work on planning the summer reading program and after school programs that they might be doing

David Wright update tweeted out about a Hour ago:

A person briefed on the matter said it is not clear until after the surgery whether it is possible for David Wright to return this season. Even after the procedure, the person added, it may take some time to determine whether Wright will be able to play again in 2016.
