No.. I wasn't that lucky.. About a year and a half ago, I thought I would try to build the set.. Luckily I found every card available.. almost except for the Babe Ruth /50 from the set.. (There are 2 versions. one /50 and one /350).. They aren't numbered, but the report is the stated print run..

There were a few of us on FCB that were trying to build the set at the same time.. Here are the prices I paid back then..Some I over paid, and some I got cheap.. But if you have tried to fill a hard set to put together, it's worth it in the end as the set is complete now.. Including the poster about the set!

George, Gonna end it when either of them gets closer to or accepts your counter to end it? Would love to be in the game for it myself, My Gehrig was /9 and cost me 550. It was from prime patches MLB Icons cant remember what year, 04 or 05.

The other guys says he only collects Gehrig Jersey number pieces and patches, so this one is huge for him. My guess is it will be ended this weekend and shipped first thing Monday.

Well, here's one he'll never get his hands on! #4/5!

Re-found this today. My mom gave it to me when I was a kid. Amazingly I still have it intact!

Looked up the game and the Giants beat the Dodgers 7-3 that day. Both Willie Mays AND Orlando Cepeda hit a homer that day (along with Jim Davenport) and Mike McCormick pitched a complete game for the win! :mrgreen:
