comc and sportslots are the only places I've ever found anything worthwhile for my guys.

sportsbuy is an ok place to find autos and g/u but a lot of the sellers have unrealistic prices, imho.

The Beckett Marketplace can also be decent for low-end stuff.

Southpaw is a good site for 80s & 90s era players and today's current stars. I'm pretty sure he's one of Beckett's dealers.

Pretty much what everyone else said. It's tougher to find stuff if you collect a lower end guy (ex. Bucky Jacobsen) like I do to find their stuff anywhere. I wish COMC had the volume of stuff and sellers that Beckett Marketplace had. While I don't like COMC 100%, they get a lot very right.

Very good article. To the point and well written. I totally agree with you in regards to the value of having your own website. It has been over 3 years since I have seen a non Ripken card surface from the 1980 Charlotte O's Police set. Since I need three cards to complete my set this is a problem. A gentleman posted on my guestbook and I decided to send him an e-mail asking if he had any extra singles from the set. He told me to send him the list of what I need and he would see what he could find. A few days later I received a Priority Mail envelope with one of the three remaining cards needed for my set!
