I had looked at several Goodwin auctions for the Hot List over the past few weeks but I hadn't yet noticed these. They appear to be rare historical relics like:

$(KGrHqR,!iYE3dK4GflJBOFQD6O)P!~~_12.jpg

A few auctions are up right now:

[phil:2ymo88up]110711834359[/phil:2ymo88up] - Spirit of St. Louis Gauze
[phil:2ymo88up]190553982970[/phil:2ymo88up] - Kind Edward VIII Hankerchief
[phil:2ymo88up]320726640542[/phil:2ymo88up] - Napoleon Bonaparte Redemption
[phil:2ymo88up]190553286867[/phil:2ymo88up] - Horatio Nelson Battle Flag

but the big seller appears to be a Lincoln Redemption:
[phil:2ymo88up]300575419450[/phil:2ymo88up] and [phil:2ymo88up]260812053835[/phil:2ymo88up] - I'm not sure what kind of Lincoln relic this is going to be but apparently something pretty good?

I know over the course of time there have been a whole lot of attempts a Relic cards from actual GU, to seats in a stadium a player played in, DNA hair, bugs and on and on but I have to say these are pretty cool.

What are your thoughts, like? dislike? buying?

Goodwin really outdid itself this year IMO.

- on-card autos of a broad range of athletes
- presidential sketches
- entomology
- the animal patches (I like them!)
- and the relics you posted.

Very cool stuff. I'd keep the historical relics if I pulled one.

I just wonder what the Lincoln and Bonaparte are going to be? I'd be nervous paying $600 for a Lincoln not knowing if I was going to get a piece of his shirt or a splinter from some old log cabin that was in his neighborhood as a child...

Thank you very much...it'd be really neat to know more background on these sorts of things.

A desk - was it the one in the oval office? Or one he used as a lawyer? Illinois state office? his home? And on and on the questions go.

Same with the chair - did he sit in it once, was it his go to chair etc...

On another note though, the Annie Oakley card would be AWESOME!

It would be awesome if they had that info on the back of the card. I do agree that the Annie Oakley would be pretty sweet

Actually, if that card was created I bet you it'd sell for big bucks.
