not at all lol. batting average is a nice stat but it also is a little overrated imo. a guy can hit the ball hard every time but might hit at someone, or someone might make a nice play, etc. hes K'd 6 times in 44 at bats. that's pretty damn good. my high school coach always said that when he looks at who he is going to take, he looks at contact percentage. if u make contact 95% of the time, you're going to find some holes sooner or later.

yeah he is my favorite prospect. i'd say it for any prospect in the majors that is rarely striking out. if he, or anyone else for that matter, had 44AB and 15 K's, i'd say send him down. But 6K's in 44AB? that's pretty good for ANY rookie. you're a moron bud

Beckham clearly has shown he belongs in the majors because he makes strong contact and rarely strikes out and just like Harold Reynolds said on the MLB Network telecast this kid has sick bat speed and very bright future.

People like boxbreaker and others who post about random prospects have no argument because like Huffmanic said the kid has been playing great lately and is an elite young player in the game and a top prospect in the game so when he does anything specially a first career HR it should be talked about.

Beckham is an excellent young player who was picked 8th overall and owns the Georgia record books for a reason. The kid can rake and is 2-2 so far today and i honestly dont get why people complain when a post is made about someone that u are not enamored with. If you dont like a post dont read it or dont comment.

Boxbreaker you post everything that Travis Denker does and build that kid up and no one really cares so why hate on Gordon Beckham

Yes i am invested in Gordon Beckham and a fan of him as a prospect and hope he succeeds. But i dont get why people make unnecessary posts that dont contribute to the thread in any way.
