Let the kid post about Beckham if he wants
I know it is too often and so does everyone else but who are we to decide what he should post?
Maybe by reading this thread he might realize that his constant posts about GB = annoying people. He can either stop OR do it to purposely annoy

Ballerskrip is right on. Many people post about other players on a constant basis (Lincecum, Taylor, Denker, B Harper, etc) and don't receive the hate JO gets. Heck, one member is a given to post about a certain company and give a play by play about every single card from their higher end that makes eBay

Let people post. If you don't like ---- Skip it. If it gets to the point where the posts are taking up space on the main page (say if he makes multiple ones just to intentionally annoy then mods will take care of it)

He is excited about a guy who he invested in and a player who player for his favorite team

i mean i didn't really invest in him. bought some cards for the pc and sold when i saw they were high for no reason. i know it's okay for people to post about a guy who just got his license but i can't post about a guy helping his MLB team win 5 straight? jeez

not pointing a finger at anyone but i don't say jack $hit about anyone's threads. why take the time to even post in here if it annoys you? skip the thread like i do when i don't care what the thread is about...

I don't see a problem with this thread. It's not like he's pimping him out to sell, he's a white sox fan. I hate the pimping threads, where guys are trying to get a jump in prices for their prospects (a prime example is that person, I can't remember who, talks about Brad Bergesen all the time).

Mods merge or lock similar threads here all the time. Why wasn't that done with this one? A nearly identical thread was created the day before as has been pointed out earlier in this thread.

I saw the thread, but I didn't go digging for it.

Maybe someone that regularly moderates chat will do that. The mod staff merges threads using their best judgement, and while there are guidelines and common practices for this, there is no concrete description of what is to be merged, and what isn't.
