Got some scanning done, a little of everything

Loved the idea of the set when it came out, and actually ordered a couple boxes for my first wax in ages. That did not work out all that well, but I was able to snag this beauty. Also have a /5 incoming. Think these are pretty reasonably priced for what they are.

Not worn by Mays, but one of the cooler sets IMO and too expensive. I have the Ted Williams as well:

I was surprised how nice this looks in person. The jersey swatch is stained a bit on the right edge which is cool.

I like the idea of picking up Alex Rodriguez stuff now in anticipation of 3000 hits and 700 homers. Got these to go along with a bunch of BGS 8.5's I have:

He's been struggling (as I posted about in another thread) but it's allowed a chance to pick up some of his RC Auto's for pretty reasonable prices. One of the best in baseball for half a decade and his Bowman Chrome Xfractor /250 (with no blue, orange, red or superfractors for this card) is under $150. I'll take it.

I probably overpaid on this one, but the patch is one of the nicest I have seen, and Love was incredible this season:

Are those Tributes that nice looking in hand? Smoltz is in that set, and I can't decide if I want to go after them or not. Everytime I see a scan where one looks nice, I see one that looks horrible.

I can only offer my opinion, but I think it looks great in person. I was very pleasantly surprised when I received it.

Great stuff, I would love either of those Hanleys. I actually just bought his Jersey today to wear up in DC this weekend. Couldnt' believe i found one here in Raleigh!

Thank you. I honestly think it is shocking how cheap the xfractors are, especially since they are just /150.

I don't do much with basketball cards, but there's something about the Exquisite RC auto's, and Love was insane this past season.
