Grading Question ~ Worth submitting?

Hi guys....the orange Holland is the card in question. I may get a 9.5 for corners, but probably a 9.0. Surface looks very clean....the question is the centering on the front. The back is PERFECTLY centered.....I would probably need a 9.5 to gem:

Yes, I don't know why it is so poor. there is no white of any kind on the front.

I would say go for it. Throw in a few extra cards if you can.

I think it is the bottom of the gold rookie logo on the case that makes it look like there is something wrong with the top edge

i don't think that's it. it looks that way across the whole top of the card. not just under the "rookie card" lettering.

OP - it's a hair oc, but i say go for it! be sure to let us know how it does!

If you need 9.5 centering and think corners are a 9 and you only want a gem, then I can't say this card will be satisfactory. It's clearly not 9.5 centering on the front.

Not to rain on the parade, but it is oc both ways, which would get you an 8.5 to a 9, you'd have to measure.

Gem Mint 9.5
Centering: 50/50 one way, 55/45 the other on front. 60/40 or better on back

Mint 9
Centering: 55/45 both ways on front. 70/30 or better on back.

Near Mint/Mint 8
Centering: 60/40 both ways or better on front. 80/20 or better on back.

Its almost assured of a 9 right off the bat with the centering. Thats a 9 on most days, but I could easily see a tough grader giving that an 8.5 for centering. Good luck if you do submit!

looks like a 9. clean the top w/toothpaste + it may make the 'funk' look a little less funky. i'd rcr it if i were you as bgs tends to be a little more lenient w/rcr depending on the show.
