I have a card. It has a 9 edges grade. The front edges look perfect, however, the back edges have a white peeling spot on a black surface (2005 bowman chrome).

Do you think BGS determined this 9 with like a 10 edge grade on the front and a 7.5/8 on the back for an average 9 or do they just not really focus on the back edges?

The grade seems to have answered your question for you. Just in case, BGS looks at the front and back of cards to determine grades.
