Don't know if we've done this before but what do you think are some of the better names in baseball, past and present?

I'll start by throwing out Arquimedes Caminero, Esix Snead, Wonderful Monds, and for some reason, I've always liked Esteban Loazia

My favorite all-time baseball name was a kid that played against us in, of all things, a high school game. He was a mammoth 6'5" OF named ROBERTO RUTH.

I have no idea what happened to him after high school.

As for more notable names, I always thought Andy Van Slyke's name was cool.

All the players with Bastardo in their name kinda gave me a chuckle, nor sure why. ;)

What is extra awesome is that his full name is Wonderful Terrific Monds III.

Ty Van Burkleo had one great year in Japan in 1988.

I love some of the long Japanese names like Michihiro Ogasawara and Takehiko Kobayakawa.

I loved the Montreal Expos announcers take on this guy's name.

AIR-ISS-BELL ARE-OO-WAY-BAR-OO-WAY-NA (or something like that)

Grant Balfour
I’ve always pronounced it “BALL FOUR” even though I know that’s not right. It cracks me up because he walks a lot of guys. (And he always acts like he just drank 3 pots of coffee)
