Hi all,
I had to go to the card shop today to get some toploaders. Money is tight this month, so I was not expecting to get any cards at all. When I went in, I remembered that I had some monthly raffle tickets in my wallet. Prizes have to be claimed by the end of the month, so I checked the few I had.
$100 Shopping Spree!
Actually the second time I have won the big prize. Couple years ago I won the same prize.
He didn't have much in stock, but I did get a box of Topps Update Heritage High Numbers (think that's what they are called), and six packs of Donruss Threads (plus the toploaders I came in for.
Did well with the swag:
Donruss Threads Fred Lynn autograph #d /25
Donruss Threads Ruben Tejeda autograph, also #d /25
and out of the box I got the usual chrome, refractors, and inserts. The box states that each box has either a relic or a Real One autograph. I was hoping for a cool autograph and was somewhat let down to see an Eric Bedard plain white jersey card in one of the first packs I opened.
However, in the next to last pack I pulled a very cool Al Jackson Real One Autograph!
Very fun day at the local shop , Baseball Cards Plus in Huntington Beach, CA - recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. I have been going there since I was in , gulp, high school. Great owner and a nice shop.
Thanks for looking.
